You’re not broken; you’re brilliantly wired. Join us for some real talk on fueling your brain with curiosity, kindness, and strategies that actually make sense. No new planners required.
ADHD is a complex neurodevelopment condition that affects attention, impulse control, and energy regulation, often in ways that make everyday tasks more challenging, especially fueling yourself.
For many, ADHD causes irregularity in meal patterns, seeking food for other reasons besides hunger, and trouble understanding and nuancing your internal hunger cues.
You might feel weird saying, “I can’t believe I forgot to eat” or “I swore I was going to drink more water today.” You may notice other people do these things without thinking, stressing, or getting the dreaded ick on a well-planned lunch. We know these feelings well, and we’re here to make sure you feel way less weird about it!
This 45-minute community class led by our amazing dietitian Sarah Skobeloff will help you to uncover your own patterns in nutrition and help you explore realistic strategies to fuel yourself.
Through this class, you’ll learn:
- ADHD and altered meal patterns and how medication can be a culprit. You’ll learn about signs of hunger beyond physical hunger pangs
- Why you seek food beyond the reasons of hunger and learn how to cope outside of a diet mindset
- How to use the tools available to you to strategize meal prep without spending hours planning, prepping, and shopping
This class will help you to develop strategies that work for you and your ADHD to help you fuel your active lifestyle and drop the comparison to others for what you think you should be doing.
