Meal Planning with ADHD:

a hands-on workshop designed for neurodivergent brains

Tuesday, March 17 at 5:30pm-6:15pm CT (live + recorded!)

So, you decided you want to cook more at home.

You bought the groceries, maybe even made a beautiful plan.

And then Tuesday rolls around. Suddenly, the chicken you bought is just not it.

The texture of yogurt? Yeah, not this week.

You cannot imagine eating leftovers again.

Your brain has all the ideas but you can't get your body to start the cooking.

You're left scrolling DoorDash in an urgent frenzy before the restaurants stop taking orders. Are you even hungry? What for? UGH.

Sound familiar?

If you have ADHD, meal planning can feel like an exhausting cycle of good intentions followed by total shutdown.

None of this means you are lazy, bad at cooking, or incapable of feeding yourself well. You need an approach that actually works with your ADHD brain! And, we've gotchu.

This class exists because meal planning advice is often built for people with neurotypical brains. Instead of telling you to “just plan better,” we will teach you two practical systems our nutrition team uses with ADHD clients every day.

These approaches are flexible, open-minded, and designed to keep food accessible in your home without locking you into a rigid weekly plan.

You will be guided by Sarah Skobeloff, MS, RDN, LDN, a registered dietitian who understands and lives the real barriers ADHDers face with feeding themselves consistently.

This class is for you if...

  • You have ADHD and feel overwhelmed by meal planning [no formal diagnosis required to attend!]
  • You start strong with grocery shopping but struggle to follow through with cooking
  • You hate repeating meals and lose interest in food quickly
  • Food textures or sensory shifts make meals suddenly or unexpectedly unappealing
  • You feel frustrated by food waste shame spirals
  • You regularly find yourself stuck in the “DoorDash scroll of doom” at dinner time [or when medication starts to wear off and you can think about food]
  • You want meals in your house that are easy, flexible, and low effort
  • You want systems that support nourishment without dieting or rigid rules

If you have ever thought, “Why is feeding myself so hard?” this session was designed for you, sturdy squirrel!

What we'll teach you...

  • Why traditional meal planning often fails ADHD brains
  • Common roadblocks ADHDers face when planning, shopping, and cooking
  • A flexible meal planning method that reduces overwhelm and decision fatigue
  • A simple household food system that keeps easy meals available all week
  • How to plan for novelty, texture preferences, and changing appetites
  • Strategies to reduce food waste without adding more pressure
  • How to move from planning to cooking without getting stuck in task initiation

You will not leave with a rigid weekly meal plan.

Instead, you will leave with 2 practical systems that help meal planning stay doable week after week. They're not cookie-cutter plans; they're completely adaptable to your preferences.

Participants will also receive a pre-work worksheet that can help you prepare for the workshop. Completing it is optional. You can absolutely attend without it.

This session is designed to be hands on, collaborative, and judgment-free.

Class details:

This class is delivered live over Google Meet with Sarah and the nutrition team.

You will also receive:

• Downloadable worksheets and handouts to keep for life
• A recording of the session available for 30 days
• Practical tools you can revisit whenever meal planning starts to feel overwhelming again

Our goal is for participants to leave with a deeper understanding of their ADHD brain and a sense of relief that their struggles with meal planning are valid and shared by many others. Instead of feeling stuck in rigid plans or nightly dinner stress, you will have tools that support autonomy, novelty, and a calmer relationship with meals.
